3 Buskers Who Beat Grandma Herna With Stones And Bamboo In Subang Arrested By Police

Subang Resort Police arrested three perpetrators of the beating of an elderly resident named Herna (66) who died after being abused at her home in Kedung Gede Hamlet, Mulyasari Village, Pamukan District, Subang Regency, West Java.

Subang Police Chief AKBP Dony Eko Wicaksono said the three perpetrators, namely DS (28), MA (16), and EK (39) had been arrested less than two days after the incident.

"The Subang Police Satreskrim ranks have arrested three perpetrators of the beating of an elderly citizen in Pamukan District until he died," said Dony in Subang, Antara, Wednesday, October 8.

The incident occurred on Saturday, October 4 when the victim reprimanded the perpetrators who made a fuss around his house. Not accepting being reprimanded, the three who were under the influence of alcohol immediately threw stones and bamboo at the victim.

The victim suffered serious injuries to the head and face and eventually died at the scene.

"The perpetrators work as street buskers on a daily basis. We have also secured evidence in the form of stones and bamboo used to attack victims," said Dony.

The three perpetrators are now being held at the Subang Police Headquarters detention center and charged with Article 170 paragraph (3) of the Criminal Code concerning beatings that resulted in death, with a maximum penalty of 12 years in prison.

"There is no room for acts of violence and crime in the jurisdiction of the Subang Police. We act quickly, decisively, and measuredly to enforce the law and provide a sense of security to the community," said Dony.
