Head of Basarnas Kendari Amiruddin said that the missing man was named Nuridn (31), who was first reported missing by his family on Sunday (28/9) night around 20.00 WITA.

He said that based on the report, his party then dispatched a SAR Post Rescue Team to provide SAR assistance.

"The distance from the location is from the SAR Post about 75 kilometers," said Amiruddin, quoted by ANTARA, Monday, September 29.

He said that upon arrival at the scene, his party immediately conducted a search. However, the victim has not been found.

Amiruddin revealed that today his party is again searching for the second day by dividing into two search teams.

"Today's search area is up to two square kilometers," he explained.

He added that the disappearance of the victim began when he and his uncle and brother went to the garden on Thursday (25/9) at around 16.00 WITA. However, when they finished their activities in the garden, the victim was no longer found by his uncle and brother.

"The search has been carried out by the family and the surrounding community, but until this information was received the results were nil," he added.
