JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has again distributed Social Assistance for Fulfilling Basic Needs (PKD) for the period September 2025. This assistance is given to recipients of Jakarta Children's Cards (KAJ), Jakarta Elderly Cards (KLJ), and Jakarta Disability Cards (KPDJ).

The total recipients of this month's social assistance reached 200,684 people, consisting of 23,707 KAJ recipients, 157,755 KLJ recipients, and 19,222 KPDJ recipients.

Head of the DKI Jakarta Social Service, Iqbal Akbarudin, emphasized that this distribution is the local government's commitment to providing social protection for vulnerable groups.

"We want to ensure that vulnerable communities such as the elderly, early childhood, and people with disabilities in Jakarta continue to receive attention and social protection. This assistance is not only financial support, but also a form of the government's responsibility in improving the quality of life for the community," Iqbal said in his statement, Monday, September 29.

Each beneficiary gets a top-up of IDR 300,000 for the September period. This assistance is distributed to both existing recipients and new recipients who have completed the account opening and ATM card distribution process.

Iqbal added that the Social Service continues to strengthen data validation so that the distribution of social assistance is more transparent and on target. The process is carried out through verification and sub-district deliberation involving regional apparatus.

"We believe, with the involvement of all parties, the distribution of social assistance can be more effective, transparent, and on target. Hopefully, the welfare of the people of Jakarta will increase towards a strong, safe, and prosperous city," he concluded.
