The Fauna Lenteng Agung Center For The Relocation Of Barito Market Traders Is Completed At The End Of This Month

JAKARTA - Pembangunan Sentra Fauna dan Kuliner Jakarta di Lenteng Agung, Jakarta Selatan hampir selesai. Ditargetkan, lahan baru yang menjadi relokasi pedagang Pasar Burung Barito ditargetkan selesai pada akhir September 2025.

"The physical construction of kiosks has reached 85 percent," said Head of the DKI Jakarta Industry, Trade, Cooperatives, Small and Medium Enterprises (PPKUKM), Elisabeth Ratu Rante Allo in Jakarta, Friday, September 26.

The Queen revealed that the Jakarta Fauna and Culinary Centers will begin to function in early October. Of the 125 kiosks built, 119 stalls have walls, while the other six kiosks are still in the foundation stage.

"For the completion of the entire construction, including infrastructure such as gates, sheet piles, stairs, parks, and other supporting facilities, is expected to be completed by the end of this month," said Ratu.

The Queen said that the DKI Provincial Government chose Lenteng Agung as the location because it stands on land owned by the City Parks and Forest Service. This area is considered strategic, close to public transportation access such as Lenteng Agung KRL Station and toll roads.

This center is built on an area of 7,500 square meters, with about 2,000 square meters allocated to traders who were previously in the Temporary Location (Loxem) JS 25, JS 26, JS 30, and JS 96.

The distribution of kiosks is made into several zones. Zone A consists of 22 culinary kiosks, Zone C and D accommodate 74 bird traders' stalls and animal feed, while Zone E contains 29 kiosks for parsel and culinary businesses. Zone B, which is planned to be used for amphitheaters, is still waiting for the next stage of construction.

In addition to permanent kiosks, this area is also equipped with parking areas, fauna education rooms, cultural arts performances, and supporting facilities that are claimed to be more hygienic and environmentally friendly.

"Sentra Fauna and Culinary Jakarta will become hygienic, family-friendly public spaces, as well as new, more attractive destinations than Barito," said Ratu.

It is known that the DKI Provincial Government has started building the Pusaka Flag Park since Friday, August 8, 2025. The arrangement for the merger of Langsat Park, Ayodya Park, and Leuser Park has resulted in the Barito Market traders being relocated to temporary places.

With an area of almost six hectares, this park will be facilitated by bridge connecting bridges (link bridges), jogging tracks, children's playgrounds, multipurpose rooms, and amphitheaters open to art and cultural performances.

In the arrangement of the park in Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, a number of sports facilities will be built such as padel and tennis courts.
