iPhone Air 2 Leak: Bigger Battery, 30 Hours and Dual Camera Ready to Launch

JAKARTA - The latest leaks regarding the iPhone Air 2 have begun to emerge. After the first generation received criticism for its limited battery capacity in pursuit of a super thin design, Apple is rumored to be fixing the weakness in its successor model.

Information circulating says the iPhone Air 2 will carry a battery of around 3,500 mAh. If true, this increase has the potential to make the device's endurance penetrate 30 hours in offline video playback, as well as being one of the most significant improvements compared to the previous generation.

iPhone Air 2 Battery Up 11 Percent

The leak comes from Chinese technology leaker, Digital Chat Station, via the Weibo platform. Citing information from the supply chain, he said the battery capacity of the iPhone Air 2 reached around 3,500 mAh.

For comparison, the first generation of the iPhone Air is equipped with a 3,149 mAh battery. This means that the new model will get an increase in capacity of around 11 percent.

Although the increase looks small on paper, the additional capacity is expected to be able to provide a significant increase in daily usage. If the current generation is claimed to be able to last up to 27 hours for offline video playback, then the iPhone Air 2 is expected to exceed 30 hours.

Apple Has Not Revealed How to Increase Capacity

Until now, it is not known how Apple can add battery capacity without sacrificing the thin design that is characteristic of the Air line.
