Allegations Of Harassment At SMK 2 Bandung, Police Accommodate Reports Of Suspected Victims In A Week

JAKARTA - The police are handling reports of alleged sexual harassment that occurred in the Pasundan 2 Vocational High School (SMK) in Bandung City, West Java (West Java).

Kapolsek Andir AKP Robby said that his party together with the school had agreed to give one week to accommodate reports from the alleged victims.

"The school has given one week to receive all reports experienced by students, whether they feel or experience allegations of sexual harassment," said Robby in Bandung, Thursday, as quoted by Antara.

Robby emphasized that the police will process the report according to the legal mechanism.

"We, from the police, will process this incident in accordance with reports from the school," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of Public Relations of the Bandung Police, AKP Nurindah, said that until now his party had only received a report submitted directly by an alumni and his family to the Integrated Police Service Center (SPKT).

"This new report, this is from an alumni, comes directly with his family," said Nurindah.

According to him, the report was then directed to the Women and Children Protection Unit (PPA) for further processing.

"It will be directed to PPA, because the process is still long," he said.

Previously, students and alumni of SMK Pasundan 2 Bandung City held an action in front of their school on Pelita Raya Street, Andir District, Wednesday, September 24. The action was carried out as a form of demand against the school and support for the victims.
