JAKARTA - Indonesia-Latin America and the Caribbean (INALIAC) Business Mission 2025 is an opportunity to open new collaborations and strengthen Indonesia's market access to Latin America and the Caribbean (Amlatkar) region.

This was conveyed by the Expert Staff of the Indonesian Minister of Foreign Affairs as well as the chairman of the Indonesian delegation Acep Somantri when opening the 2025 INALAC event held at Sao Paolo, Brazil on September 22-23, underlining Indonesia's increasingly active economic diplomacy in the Amlatkar Region.

Carrying the theme "Charting goals Sustainable and Resilient Partnerships", this forum invites business people in the two regions to adapt to facing global challenges, ranging from rising tariffs and trade wars, protectionism, and geopolitical tensions.

"The 7th INALAC business mission is not just a trade meeting, but an opportunity to open new collaborations in automotive, renewable energy, creative industry, agriculture, and critical minerals, while strengthening access to the Amlatkar market through platforms such as G77, GNB, FEALAC, Merccosur, and BRICS," said Acep, citing the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Tuesday, September 23.

Indonesia's presence received a very positive response both from the Government and the business world in Amlatkar. The Brazilian government, represented by the Executive Secretary at the Ministry of Development, Industry, Trade and Services Marcio Fernando Elias Rosa, said that with their respective advantages, Indonesia and Amlatkar have complementary cooperation opportunities.

He also emphasized the importance of partnerships to face current world challenges through multilateralism and free trade.

Indonesia's strong commitment in the region is also reflected in the intensity of President Prabowo's visit to the region, where in less than a year, the President has made state visits to Peru and Brazil, as well as attended important international forums such as APEC, G20, and BRICS. Indonesia is also strengthening economic partnerships through two comprehensive trade agreements (CEPA) with Chile and Peru.

In the future, economic cooperation in the region is focused on three priority areas, namely diversification of trade and investment, strengthening supply chains, and empowering SMEs and creative industries. Collaboration will focus on the ecosystem of electric vehicles, agricultural technology, critical minerals, renewable energy, and creative industries.

Meanwhile, the General Chairperson of KADIN Anindya Bakrie in her speech video emphasized that INALAC's business mission was not only to increase trade and investment, but also to become a bridge that connects the Indonesian people and the Amlatkar Region.

It is hoped that Indonesian entrepreneurs who attend can take advantage of the opportunities offered by Brazil and other Amlatkar countries, including in the fields of energy, infrastructure, agro-industrial.
