JATENG - The sound of horse shoes was heard rhythmically when an an anong crossed the Purwodadi protocol road, Grobogan Regency. In the front seat, a man smiling friendlyly controlled the horse speed. He is Aiptu Biyanto, Bhabinkamtibmas Mbolo Village, Toroh Polres Grobogan Police.

Behind the police uniform he wore while on duty, Aiptu Biyanto is also known as a tourist andong driver around Purwodadi square. It's been eight years, every weekend or free time from service, he chooses to return to his old hobby, ride and ride a horse.

His love for horses is nothing new. Since childhood, Biyanto grew up with the horsetrap belonging to his late father who works as a wagon puller. From there he learned to take control, as well as instilled the determination to realize his father's dream: to make him a policeman.

"Alhamdulillah, the prayers of your late father have been answered. I became a police officer, but still did not leave the world of horses," said Aiptu Biyanto, Thursday, September 18.

As Bhabinkamtibmas, Aiptu Biyanto also often faces various community problems, ranging from fights, minor theft, to cases of domestic violence.

"In resolving all of that, I always prioritize a family approach. Because in my opinion, security can be born from togetherness," he said.

Now, Biyanto is not only carrying out hobbies, but also developing an Andong tourism business. By setting aside some of his salaries, he managed to raise three female horses. Together with five workers from local residents, his andong routinely operates in Purwodadi square, decorated with colorful lights that add to the public's tourist attraction.

It did not stop there, he even initiated the formation of the Andong association which now consists of 50 coachmen. Through this forum, the tradition of Andong which almost faded back to life, became part of wedding events, carnivals, and tourist destinations that strengthen the community's economy.

"My hope is simple, hopefully the tourism aong in Grobogan will continue to grow. In addition to maintaining culture, it can also create jobs for local residents," said Biyanto excitedly.

For his dedication, the Head of Public Relations of the Central Java Police, Kombes Pol Artanto, expressed his appreciation. According to him, what Aiptu Biyanto did was a tangible form of dedication to a member of the National Police.

"With this routine, Pak Bhabin not only maintains security, but also takes care of culture so that it remains sustainable for future generations. This is proof that Polri's dedication can be present in many forms, from tasks in the field to maintaining local wisdom in the community," he said.
