JAKARTA - Supreme Court Justice Dwiarso Budi Santiarto was elected Deputy Chief Justice of the Supreme Court for Non-Judicial Affairs after obtaining the most votes in the two-round election at the Special Plenary Session at the Supreme Court Building, Jakarta, today.
The young chairman of the Supreme Court's Supervision received 25 votes in the second round of voting. He outperformed two other candidates, namely Supreme Court Justice Hamdi who received four votes and Supreme Court Justice Haryadi with nine votes.

In the first round, Dwiarso Budi Santiarto won with 17 votes, following Hamdi and Prim Haryadi who each received six votes. Meanwhile, Haswandi and Yasardin received four votes, while the other two votes were invalid.
Based on the results of the vote count for the first round, the candidates who met the provisions for the second round were Dwiarso Budi Santiarto, Hamdi, and Prim Haryadi. The plenary session was suspended for 10 minutes to prepare for the second round of elections.
