Bahlil's Directive To Members Of The Golkar Faction In The DPR: Must Be More Sensitive To Community Conditions

JAKARTA - The general chairman of the Golkar Party, Bahlil Lahadalia, ordered all members of the DPR from the Golkar faction to be more sensitive to the condition of the community. This follows a massive demonstration from the Indonesian people in response to the increase in DPR allowances some time ago.

This was conveyed by the Secretary General of the Golkar Party as well as the Chairman of the Golkar faction of the DPR, Sarmuji after the meeting of all members of the DPR from the Golkar faction with the Golkar DPP management at the Nusantara building, parliament complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday, September 9.

"There is no (special direction). The directive was as conveyed by the General Chair, members of the DPR RI from the Golkar Party faction must be more sensitive to the condition of the community," said Sarmuji.

Second, he continued, members of the DPR from the Golkar faction were asked to pay more attention to the aspirations of the community.

"You have to voice the aspirations of the people, so that people have a channelization of the aspirations they have so far. And members of the Indonesian House of Representatives from the Golkar faction also reflect the people represented," said Sarmuji.

The meeting was also attended by ministers and deputy ministers of the Red and White Cabinet from the Golkar Party, such as Deputy Minister of KP2MI Christina Aryani and Deputy Minister of Trade Dyah Roro Esti.

"Yes, the minister was asked to attend. The minister visited the general chairman (also the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources), right. If the general chairman came, it would be good if there were ministers so that the minister would also listen to the direction of the General Chair," he concluded.
