JAKARTA - The NasDem Party faction in the House of Representatives (DPR) has requested that the salaries, allowances, and all other benefits still attached to two suspended members of the House of Representatives (DPR), Ahmad Sahroni and Nafa Urbach, be suspended.
NasDem Faction Chairman Viktor Laiskodat stated that the request was a follow-up to the NasDem Party Central Executive Board (DPP) Letter Number 168-SE/DPP-NasDem/VIII, which suspended the two members, effective September 1, 2025.
"The NasDem Party faction in the DPR RI requests a temporary suspension of the salaries, allowances, and all benefits for the individuals concerned, who are now inactive, as part of upholding the party's mechanisms and integrity," Viktor said, as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, September 2.
He stated that the suspension of their membership status is now being followed up by the NasDem Party Court, which will issue a final, binding, and non-appealable decision.
According to him, all steps taken by the NasDem Party faction are part of an effort to ensure that the party's internal mechanisms are carried out transparently and accountably.
Furthermore, the NasDem faction also called on all parties to maintain the integrity and unity of the nation by prioritizing dialogue, deliberation, and constructively resolving differences, so that public trust in the legislative institution remains intact.
"Let's work together to forge unity and strengthen the spirit of restoration to build a better future for Indonesia," he said.
Previously, Said Abdullah, Chairman of the House of Representatives Budget Agency, stated that several members of the House of Representatives who had been suspended by their parties were still receiving their salaries as usual.
Said explained that technically, DPR members receive salaries because budget implementation is carried out by the relevant institutions. The Budget Agency (Banggar) is no longer discussing the budget regarding salaries, as it has already been decided.
"From a technical perspective, yes, we will receive our salaries," said Said Abdullah at the parliamentary complex in Jakarta on Monday (September 1).
In addition to Sahroni and Nafa, several other political parties have also suspended their members from the House of Representatives, namely Eko Patrio and Uya Kuya from the PAN faction, and Adies Kadir from the Golkar Party faction.
