The damage to the West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Provincial DPRD Building was observed to be very severe and still in disarray after being burned and looted by anarchist demonstration masses on Saturday, August 30 afternoon.

Monitoring Monday, September 1, starting in front of the entrance to the former burning building was fitted with a police line. There are large tents from BPBD also installed in the parking lot of the council building.

Meanwhile, the traffic situation in front of the NTB DPRD Building, which is located on Jalan Udayana, Mataram City, also looks very smooth.

It appears that a number of security forces from the TNI to the police are on guard at the gate of the NTB DPRD. Meanwhile, employees from the council secretariat were also observed to be still working as usual.

They were seen bringing out the remains of documents and items that could still be saved from the building.

Meanwhile, from outside and inside the council building itself, a number of document sheets, broken glass, tiles are scattered everywhere. Several faction rooms, commissions to the room of the Chairperson and Deputy Chair of the DPRD on the first and second floors, including the plenary room on the third floor, were in a very severe condition due to the ludes being engulfed in red roosters. In fact, the hot smell of the remnant from the flames still stings over the council building.

Met in the courtyard of the council building, the Secretary of the NTB DPRD, Hendra Saputra, admitted that the condition of the building seemed to be badly damaged. For this reason, his party and BPBD NTB are currently identifying a number of places that can be used as temporary offices for council members.

"Later, when it is decided, we will report it to the leadership," he said.

He said to support the work of council members, such as commission meetings and leaders, including plenary meetings to temporarily borrow a number of rooms at the NTB Governor's Office.

"For the plenary meeting, we borrowed the Sangkareang Building," said Hendra.

In addition to borrowing a room at the NTB Governor's Office, his party will also use the official residence of the NTB DPRD chairman as the location of the meeting.

"The chairman has also given permission for the official house to be used," he said.

However, Hendra continued, his party ensured that the work of council members and ASN within the council would not be disrupted. Including, with the agenda of discussion and meetings will continue to run according to the set schedule.

"The work and agenda of the council continues as usual. We are not affected and everything is still on track. Likewise with employees, we have asked to continue working as usual and the administrative process continues," he said.

It is known that during a demonstration by thousands of people at the NTB DPRD Building on Saturday (30/8) afternoon. There were two buildings that were damaged and burned by the mass of the action, first the main DPRD building which was used daily meetings and plenary sessions. The two DPRD Secretariat buildings are used by employees or ASN in the NTB DPRD.
