JAKARTA - During the demonstration in Jakarta from Friday, August 29 to early Saturday, PT Transport Jakarta (Transjakarta) recorded a total of seven bus stops burned by irresponsible persons.

"As of Saturday morning, seven bus stops were burned by irresponsible persons," said Head of the Public Relations and CSR Department of PT Transjakarta Ayu Wardhani in Jakarta, as reported by ANTARA, Saturday, August 30.

He detailed the seven stops, namely the Senayan Roundabout Bus Stop, Scout Youth, Polda Metro Jaya Bus Stop, Senen Toyota Rangga Bus Stop, Senen Central Bus Stop, Senayan Bus Stop, and Youth Gate Bus Stop.

Apart from being burned, he continued, several Transjakarta bus stops were also targeted by vandalism and damage to facilities.

Transjakarta regrets the destruction and invites the public to jointly maintain public facilities so that the benefits can continue to be felt by many people.

"Transjakarta invites the public to work together to protect each other's public facilities, so that the benefits can continue to be used by many people. Transjakarta is grateful for the support of all parties," said Ayu.

Previously, demonstrations carried out by various elements, including workers and students, took place at a number of points in Jakarta, one of which was the DPR/MPR Building on Monday and last Thursday.
