JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has named three people and two corporations as suspects in corruption in the transportation of social assistance (bansos) at the Ministry of Social Affairs. They are suspected of causing state losses due to fraudulent practices.

"The KPK has named three people and two corporations as suspects. Where the initial calculation by investigators regarding the alleged state financial loss reached approximately Rp. 200 billion," said KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo to reporters in a written statement, Tuesday, August 19.

Budi has not yet specified who the party has been named as a suspect. Usually, the announcement will be made officially in a press conference.

As for this case, the anti-corruption commission has asked the Directorate General of Immigration to prevent four people from leaving the country for six months. They are B. Rudijanto Tanoesoedibjo as President Commissioner of PT Dosni Roha Logistik who is the brother of a media entrepreneur, Harry Tanoesoedibjo.

Then Edy Suharto was also prevented as the former Director General of Social Empowerment of the Ministry of Social Affairs and now serves as an expert staff of the Minister of Social Affairs for Changes and Social Dynamics; Kanisius Jerry Tengker who is the President Director of PT Dosni Roha Logistics in 2020-2022; and Herry Tho who is the Operational Director of PT Dosni Roha Logistics in 2021-2024.

"KPK prohibits traveling abroad for four people with the initials ES, BRT, KJT, and HER (HT) related to the investigation of rice social assistance distribution cases for beneficiary families (KPM) of the Family Hope Program (PKH) FY 2020," said Budi.

"The KPK has taken action against traveling abroad because the existence of the person concerned in Indonesian territory is needed in the context of the investigation process of the alleged corruption crime," he continued.

Previously reported, the KPK is again investigating allegations of corruption at the Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos). An investigation warrant (sprindik) has been issued and the case relates to the strengthening of social assistance (bansos).

The investigation has been carried out since August. The alleged corruption that is currently being handled is the development of the alleged social assistance corruption that has been handled previously.
