The Transjakarta City Hall Bus Stop Is Crowded With Visitors To People's Party At Monas

The City Hall Transjakarta bus stop on Sunday, August 17 at noon was filled with people who were about to go or return from the People's Party in the context of the 80th anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia in the National Monument (Monas) area, Central Jakarta.

At around 13.15 WIB, the queue of passengers was seen snaking out of the bus stop area. The condition is getting denser because many residents are waiting to cross and the presence of a number of street vendors around the location.

Not only passengers, the Transjakarta bus line was also seen queuing. Most of the fleet is even already in a crowded condition by passengers.

Even though the weather was quite hot that afternoon, the enthusiasm of the residents remained high to come to Monas. Many of them chose public transportation because the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government gave a special tariff of only Rp80 for MRT, LRT, and Transjakarta services throughout the day of celebration.

A resident, Erik (30), admitted that he chose a Transjakarta bus because it was more practical and affordable. "While the tariff is cheap. If you take the car, it's a hassle to find parking," he said, who came with his wife and children.

The same thing was conveyed by Gita (19), a visitor from Depok. He and his friends used the train and continued their journey by Transjakarta. "It's quite crowded, but it doesn't matter. His name is also once a year," he said.

The People's Party at Monas is scheduled to last until 22.00 WIB. Various activities are available for visitors, ranging from mining tugs, tubers, to eating crackers.

In addition, there is a Night Market area that provides children's rides such as balloon palaces, as well as MSME tents that distribute free food at a number of points around Monas.
