KDM: Mayor Of Cirebon Is Able To Cancel The 1,000 Percent UN Increase

The Governor of West Java, Dedi Mulyadi, who is usually called KDM, revealed that the Mayor of Cirebon, Effendi Edo, agreed to cancel the Cirebon City Land and Building Tax (PBB) policy, up 1,000 percent.

Dedi invited and discussed with the Mayor of Cirebon regarding the increase in the UN there by up to 1,000 percent and found that the policy was issued when Cirebon City was led by an official (Pj) appointed to fill the leadership of Cirebon City in the time lag before the Pilkada.

"In the meeting, discussing the investigation of the Cirebon City BPR, then the investigation of the Cirebon City Secretariat Building, as well as the increase in the UN. I received an explanation that the regulation was made when Cirebon City was led by Acting. And then it will be running in 2025. But I ask that this rule be canceled and he agrees," said Dedi as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, August 15.

However, Dedi said that the revocation of the regulation would take effect for the Cirebon City Budget in 2026 because the policy was already running in 2025.

"But because the levies have been running and are included in the 2025 APBD, the mayor will revoke the regulation in the APBD year in 2026," said Dedi.

Dedi conveyed that the increase in land and building taxes has only been informed so far in Cirebon City, there have been no reports from other regions.

"Until today there is no (other area) only in Cirebon City," he said.

Previously, it was informed that the increase in the UN in Cirebon City was implemented in 2024 when it was led by Agus Mulyadi as Acting Mayor of Cirebon.

This policy was reportedly issued by Agus Mulyadi to adjust the value of the PBB there which will become a reference for the new Tax Object Selling Value or NJOP, because it has not been revised since 2018.
