Russia's Joint Intelligence And Military Operation Hits Ukraine's Sapsan Missile Production Center

JAKARTA - Joint operations between the domestic intelligence agency FSB (Federal Security Service) and the Russian military have significantly disrupted the production of the Sapsan Ukrainian long-range missile system, a FSB officer reported.

"Coordinated actions by Russian security agencies, among others, have allowed the implementation of the Sapsan Kyiv program for the long term," he said, launching TASS August 14.

The FSB reports that the Federal Security Service, in collaboration with the Russian Ministry of Defense, has carried out a joint special operation that resulted in the destruction of Ukrainian defense industry facilities involved in the manufacture of an operational-tactic missile system.

However, it was not stated when and where the operation was held.

The FSB document only states that the joint operation concerns the four companies that produce the Sapsan long-range missile system in Ukraine

Two companies are located in the city of Pavlovrad in the Dnepropxisk Region and two more in the city of Shostka in the Sumy Region.

It added that coordinated actions by these security agencies prevented the destruction of targets deep within Russian territory and removed a technical base for the production of Ukraine's long-range ballistic missiles.
