DKI Provincial Government Targets All District Health Centers To Have Psychological Services This Year

Head of the DKI Jakarta Health Office, Ani Ruspitawati, revealed that the DKI Provincial Government is targeting all sub-district-level health centers in Jakarta to have psychological services this year.

"Currently, there are 38 psychological services at the sub-district health center. The total target this year or 44 health centers is psychologists," Ani told reporters, Wednesday, August 13.

Ani said that the placement of psychologists at the puskesmas was mandated by Law Number 17 of 2023 concerning Health. Where, Article 5 states that the state guarantees citizens' rights to obtain mental health services without discrimination.

"In Articles 46 to 48 it is also stated that the state is obliged to provide mental health services at all levels, including primary services," said Ani.

In addition, the DKI Provincial Government has also opened psychological health services for Jakarta residents. One platform is provided so that residents can get a hotline psychological health service consultation.

"Teleconsultation services with Clinical Psychologists that can be accessed through JakCare for free," he said.

In the application, the DKI Provincial Government has also alerted services for residents who need an ambulance if necessary to refer to a psychiatric emergency.

"There will be an ambulance that will help evacuate to the hospital to provide psychiatric services. Then the referral center will be at Duren Sawit Hospital," Ani added.
