Argo Bromo Anjlok Train Impact, 80 Train Trips Canceled

PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) or KAI noted that 80 train trips were canceled due to the drop in the Argo Bromo Anggrek train at the Pegadenbaru Station, Subang, West Java.

President Director of PT KAI, Didiek Hartantyo, said the figure was an accumulation of trips for the Friday-Sunday period or 1 to 3 August 2025, covering 440,000 tickets.

"So, from the 1st to the 3rd, there were around 80 cancellations. On the 1st, 24 trains were canceled, 54 were on the 2nd, and today there are still 2," he said at a press conference at Gambir Station, Jakarta, Sunday, August 3.

Meanwhile, KAI's VP of Public Relations, Anne Purba, explained that almost all routes from the south and north routes, both of which connect Jakarta-Central Java-East Java, were affected by the drop in Argo Bromo Anggrek's train.

"Almost all routes south and north," said Anne.

Citing KAI data, train travel (KA) was canceled from August 2 to 3, 2025, which was 56 trips. Consisting of Parahyangan 4 trains, Sawunggalih 3 trips, and Taksaka 3 trips.

Then, Argo Bromo Anggrek train, Argo Semeru train, Argo Merbabu train, Sembrani train, Fajar Utama YK train, Madiun Jawa train, Tawang Jaya Premium train, Banyubiru train, Batavia train, Harina train, Malabar train, Dharmawangsa Express train, Airlangga train 2 trips, and Bengawan train 2 trips.

Then, Argo Lawu Train, Manahan Train, Fajar Utama Solo train, Argo Dwipangga train, Argo Sindoro train, Argo Muria train, Argo Anjasmoro train, Purwojaya train, Mataram train, Jayabaya train, Bogowonto train, Gajahwong train, Singasari train, Gumarang train, Menoreh train, Jayakarta train, Tawang Jaya train, and Progo train each with 1 trip.

For your information, the Argo Bromo Anggrek train fell in the standings of Pegadenbaru Station, Subang, West Java on Friday, August 1. The evacuation of train facilities will soon be carried out starting at 23:50 WIB and finished at 07:07 WIB on Saturday, August 2.

After the evacuation of the facilities was completed, KAI carried out infrastructure improvements to ensure the smooth running of the next train. The affected line can be used again since 10.57 WIB on Saturday 2 August and was first passed by Argo Lawu Train at a limited speed.

KAI also diverted the routes of a number of trains with a rotating operation pattern, with 42 train trips diverted from the Cirebon-Pegadenbaru-Cikampek/PP to Tegal/Cirebon-Purwokerto-Kroya-Banjar-Bandung-Cikampek route.
