KPK Admits There Has Been No Submission To Examine Bobby Nasution As A Witness

JAKARTA - Acting Deputy for Enforcement and Execution of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Asep Guntur Rahayu said there had been no submission from the anti-corruption agency investigator to examine the Governor of North Sumatra Bobby Nasution as a witness.

"As far as I know there has been no submission," said Asep when confirmed by ANTARA from Jakarta, Saturday.

Asep made this statement to confirm whether or not Bobby Nasution had ever been examined as a witness in a suspected corruption case related to a road construction project in North Sumatra.

"There has been no submission of a summons to the person concerned," he said.

Previously, on June 26, 2025, the KPK conducted a hand arrest operation (OTT) related to the alleged corruption case in a road construction project at the North Sumatra Provincial Public Works and Spatial Planning Office, and the North Sumatra Region I National Road I I I I I I I I I I I Implementation Task Force.

Furthermore, on June 28, 2025, the KPK named five people as suspects in the case which was divided into two clusters, namely the Head of the North Sumatra PUPR Service, Typhoon Obaja Putra Ginting (TOP), Head of the Technical Implementation Unit of the North Sumatra PUPR Service concurrently the commitment maker of the Efendi Siregar (RES), PPK at the PJN Satker Region I North Sumatra Heliyanto (HEL), President Director of PT Dalihan Natolu Group M. Akhirun Efendi (KIR), and Director of PT Rona Na Mora M. Rayhan Dulasmi Piliang (RAY).

The first cluster relates to four road construction projects within the North Sumatra PUPR Service, while the second cluster is related to two projects at the North Sumatra Region I PJN Satker. The total value of six projects in the two clusters is around Rp231.8 billion.

For the role of the suspects, the KPK suspects M. Akhirun Efendi and M. Rayhan Dulasmi Piliang as the givers of bribe funds. Meanwhile, the recipients of funds in the first cluster were Typhoon Obaja Putra Ginting and Rasul Efendi Siregar, while in the second cluster was Heliyanto.
