JAKARTA - President Director of PT Food Station, Employee Gunarso, has been named a suspect in a rice circulation case that does not comply with quality standards or mixed rice. The plan is for investigators to examine it next week.

The Head of the National Police's Food Task Force as well as the Director of Special Economic Crimes at Bareskrim Polri, Brigadier General Helfi Assegaf, said that investigators had sent a summons for investigation today.

"For the summons, we have carried out 3 days from today, we will fly the summons today," Helfi told reporters, Friday, August 1.

The investigation of Gunarso Employees as suspects has not been carried out due to a time problem. This is because investigators have just conducted a case for determining the suspect on Thursday, July 31.

"So today we immediately sent a message to the person concerned. So in the next 3 days the person concerned will be present," he said.

Meanwhile, regarding the detention, Helfi said that investigators would determine later. However, one of the reasons Gunarso employees has not been detained was because he was cooperative during the investigation and investigation process.

"For detention, we have not made arrests because during the investigation process they are very cooperative," said Helfi.

In this case, the National Police's Food Task Force also named two other suspects. They are RL as Director of Operations and RP always Head of Quality Control Section.

The determination of the suspects against the three people is based on the results of a series of investigations and investigations that have examined witnesses, consumer protection experts, laboratory experts testing the quality of Indonesian Ministry of Agriculture products and, criminal experts.

In addition, they were named suspects because they were responsible parties related to the production and circulation of rice that did not comply with quality standards.

"Business actors do production and trade premium rice not according to the quality standards of premium rice SNI," said Helfi.

The three suspects were charged with Article 62 in conjunction with Article 8 paragraph (1) letters a and f of Law Number 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection and Article 3, Article 4 and Article 5 of Law Number 8 of 2010 concerning Money Laundering.
