JAKARTA - The Provincial Government (Pemprov) of DKI Jakarta evaluates the distribution of social assistance (bansos), especially those indicated to be involved in online gambling activities (judol).

"Social assistance is intended for residents who really need it. Pramono Anung explained that the DKI Provincial Government is currently coordinating with the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK), the Communication, Informatics and Statistics Office (Diskominfotik), the Social Service, and the Inspectorate, to obtain comprehensive information related to judol issues.

"This collaboration was strengthened by the signing of a memorandum of understanding with PPATK and the Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK) on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, as part of a joint effort to prevent money laundering and terrorism financing," said Pramono Anung.

He also said that he would ensure that aid funds were used properly to meet basic needs and increase the socio-economic resilience of the community.

Pramono Anung further invited the public to participate in creating a healthy, productive, and free from illegal practices.

"The public is also advised to report if they find indications of misuse of social assistance in their environment," said Pramono Anung.

The DKI Provincial Government is committed to continuing to update data on social assistance recipients regularly so that assistance can be distributed fairly and on target.

"This step is part of an effort to ensure the assistance provided really touches those most in need," he said.

Based on PPATK data, throughout 2024 there were 602,419 Jakarta residents who were indicated to be involved in online gambling activities, with a transaction value of IDR 3.12 trillion.

Of this number, 15,033 of them were recorded as recipients of social assistance.
