JAKARTA - West Jakarta Social Service Sub-dept. provides psychosocial support services for fire victims in North Duri, Tambora, Tuesday.

"We have a social instructor, providing trauma healing for children affected by the fire. The goal is that children can recover from the trauma from the fire disaster," said West Jakarta Head of Social Affairs, Suprapto, Tuesday, July 22, 2025.

A number of activities were also held in psychosocial services, ranging from singing, drawing, quizzes, dancing and other activities.

"The point is to invite them to be enthusiastic about forgetting what happened at the time of the fire," he said.

According to him, the victim's children have the potential to experience symptoms of prolonged trauma, so it is necessary to give trauma healing.

"The names are children, yes, if there is an incident they will be worried, afraid, anxious. So conditions like that they will continue to be carried away as long as they face the days ahead," Suprapto said.

This service, said Suprapto, can be provided for the next three days. "We will start today (even though we don't know how long it will take here. But we hope it won't take long, but later if there is still maybe for the next three days," he said.

He added that the emergency response period was carried out up to 14 days after the fire.

"We see that it is a maximum of 14 days because the SOP is like that. So, assistance will continue to be provided from the Social Service, which we will definitely provide ready-to-eat food," he said.
