JAKARTA - The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) opened the SAGI 127 hotline as a complaint channel for the public who found alleged fraud, illegal levies, and the practice of buying and selling proposed locations for the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) in the implementation of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) Program.
Deputy Head of the National Nutrition Agency, Sony Sonjaya, said that the hotline was prepared so that the public could more easily report if they found indications of fraudulent practices, illegal levies, or parties who represented BGN officials or the government in the process of submitting SPPG locations.
"Community reports are very important so that this suspected fraudulent practice can be immediately followed up and does not cause more victims," Sony said in an official statement, Sunday, May 17.
According to Sony, the public can use the SAGI 127 hotline to provide information, evidence of conversations, documents, to alleged offers of SPPG location verification services and acceleration that are carried out unofficially.
"BGN emphasizes that all the processes of submitting and verifying locations in the Free Nutritious Meal Program are carried out according to official mechanisms and are not charged," he said.
Therefore, continued Sony, the public is asked not to easily believe in parties that offer fast lanes, graduation assistance, or certain management services in exchange for money.
"If someone claims to be able to facilitate the process by asking for a fee or on behalf of certain officials, immediately report it through the SAGI 127 hotline," he said.
Sony added that any information that comes in will be the subject of coordination between BGN and law enforcement to support the process of tracking and taking action against alleged criminal acts related to the MBG Program.
Currently, at least three cases of alleged fraud related to the sale of SPPG location points and management services are being processed by law enforcement in a number of regions.
"Through the SAGI 127 hotline, BGN hopes that supervision of the Free Nutritional Meal Program can involve the active participation of the community so that this national strategic program remains transparent, accountable, and targeted," he said.
