JAKARTA - Chairman of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Puan Maharani, attended the institutional launch of 80,000 Red and White Village Cooperatives which was officially launched by President Prabowo Subianto today. This launch was symbolically held at the Bentangan Red and White Village Cooperative (Kopdes), Wonosari District, Klaten Regency, Central Java.
Puan assessed that the launch of the Red and White Cooperative was proof of the government's presence to meet the needs of its people. He also emphasized that the state must provide easy services and facilities such as education, health, fertilizers, to marketing agricultural products.
"The Red and White Village Cooperative is a step by the Government to practice that the State is present for the people. So that the people feel the presence of the Government," said Puan in a press statement received by journalists, Monday, July 21.

According to Puan, the orientation of the Government should actually facilitate people's lives. He said that the Red and White Village Cooperative program had been implemented based on Presidential Instruction Number 9 of 2025 concerning the Acceleration of the Establishment of Cooperatives in Red and White Villages.
"Cooperation is a means to realize social and economic changes to lead to people who are independent in the economy," said Puan.
