JAKARTA - Member of Commission B of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Dwi Rio Sambodo, urged regional-owned enterprises (BUMD) of DKI Jakarta to open a complaint channel that can be accessed by residents to complain about the problem of food quality they get.
This is the aftermath of the case of mixing rice on a number of brands that also dragged the BUMD belonging to the DKI Provincial Government, namely PT Food Station Tjipinang Jaya.
"Of course this should be a kind of introspection that complaints must be opened transparently, which can be accessed easily by residents. So this is one of the supporting systems in public surveillance functions," Rio told reporters, Thursday, July 17.
In addition, Rio also urged the DKI Provincial Government not only to conduct internal audits of alleged violations of the quality of rice from the Food Station warehouse, but also to the involvement of external audits. Then, the results of the audit were submitted openly.
These two steps, according to Rio, should be taken in order to maintain public trust in the openness of the management of companies owned by the DKI Provincial Government. Along with this, Commission B of the DPRD plans to summon the Food Station to clarify the case after the audit is carried out.
"Until now, we are still waiting for the investigation process. In principle, we are ready at any time, because this is one of the main tasks, functions, members of the Council," said Rio.
