East OKU Police Hunt 3 Sadistic Robbers, Victims Shot While Keeping Motorcycles

MARTAPURA - Ogan Komering Ulu Resort Police (OKU) Timur, South Sumatra, is hunting for three motorcycle robbers who acted with illegal firearms. Their action claimed victims of gunshot wounds to their hands.

East OKU Police Chief AKBP Adik Listiyono said one of the four perpetrators had been arrested, namely AF (26), a resident of Tanjung Bulan Village, Buay Madang District.

"We arrested AF in less than 1x24 hours after the incident. The location of the arrest was in Tanjung Bulan Village," Adik said at a press conference in Martapura, Antara, Wednesday, July 16.

The robbery happened to Suprianto (28), a resident of Karang Endah Village, Semendawai Sub-district, Tribe III, on Monday (14/7) at around 15.00 WIB. At that time, the victim was attacked when he was about to go home and try to defend his motorbike.

"The victim suffered a gunshot wound to his wrist because he tried to fight back when his motorbike was seized," said Adik.

The police are now forming a special team to pursue three other perpetrators whose identities have been pocketed.

The perpetrators are known as specialists in illegal firearms. They did not hesitate to injure the victim," said the Police Chief.

According to him, AF's arrest was the entrance to uncover this crime network more widely.

"We urge the perpetrators who are still running away to immediately surrender. Otherwise, we will pursue them until they get them," he said.
