Jambret Actions In Front Of TNI Headquarters, Victims Are Messageing Grab On The Side Of The Road

The Gambir Metro Police have arrested a robber who acted in front of the Army Headquarters (AD), Jalan Veteran, Gambir, Central Jakarta.

"One suspect with the initials BH (24) was arrested at the scene of the case, while another suspect is still being chased," said Gambir Metro Police Chief, Police Commissioner Rezeki Revi Respati when confirmed by VOI, Wednesday, July 16, 2025.

The incident began when the victim with the initials TS (47) was ordering a vehicle via the Grab application to Soekarno-Hatta Airport.

When the victim was looking at the cellphone, suddenly the perpetrator from the side immediately took the victim's cellphone. The perpetrator tried to escape.

The victim did not remain silent. He immediately chased the perpetrator and pulled him down. One perpetrator was arrested.

Meanwhile, members of the Gambir Metro Police who arrived at the location immediately secured the perpetrator with the initials BH.

"The suspect who was arrested had the initials BH, he was immediately secured at the scene," he said.

However, another fellow perpetrator managed to escape with the victim's cellphone, Samsung A14, for IDR 2.5 million.

"The suspect with the initials A is still a DPO, we are still hunting," he said.

Until now, the case is still being handled by the Gambir Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit.
