Two Transportation Agency Personnel Are Still Being Investigated By The Inspectorate In The Aftermath Of The Cigarette Bribery Case From The Bajaj Driver

The Central Jakarta Transportation Sub-dept. Unit (Sudinhub) officer who went viral is suspected of receiving a cigarette package from a Bajaj driver in the Senen area, Central Jakarta, is still undergoing intensive examination.

"Two officers are still being investigated at the Inspectorate," said Head of the Central Jakarta Transportation Sub-dept., Wildan Anwar when confirmed by VOI, Sunday (06/07/2025).

The process of examining the two officers of the Central Jakarta Sub-dept. of the Derek Sub-Department of Transportation Unit is still ongoing by the Central Jakarta City Government Inspectorate.

"Currently, the investigation is 'on process' at the Inspectorate," he said.

In addition to examining 2 Central Jakarta Sub-dept. officers, examinations were also carried out on bajaj drivers who went viral on social media.

"Yes (checked) two officers and one Bajaj driver," he said.

Previously, DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung admitted that he had received reports of alleged burglary by members of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency to bajaj drivers in Central Jakarta.

Pramono also received news that the driver had admitted that the burglary was a hoax. This is shown from the video containing the Bajaj driver's own testimonial.

"So yesterday I also contacted the Head of the Service directly and then the head of the service gave a video confession from a person at Senen who felt that he had been hacked, it turned out that the person made a testimony that it was not like what was circulating," said Pramono at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Monday, June 30.

However, Pramono did not immediately believe it. Pramono still asked Dishub members who were suspected of harassing to remain under investigation.

"Although there has been a testimony confession from the person who feels that he has been hacked, he said that it is not like that. But still I asked to be examined because it couldn't happen like this," he explained.
