Floods Hit 21 Neighborhood Units In South Jakarta-East Jakarta Due To Heavy Rain

JAKARTA - Floods hit 21 neighborhood units (RT) in South Jakarta and East Jakarta with water levels reaching more than half a meter due to heavy rains in the area.

"Floods due to heavy rains hit the DKI Jakarta area," said Head of the Data and Information Center (Kapusdatin) of the DKI Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) Mohamad Yohan as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, July 2.

According to him, heavy rains in Jakarta caused the increase in the Angke Hulu Monitoring Post to be on alert three or alert at 18.00 WIB and the increase in the Sunter Hulu Monitoring Post to be on alert three (alert) at 18.00 WIB and causing flooding in DKI Jakarta.

BPBD, said Yohan, noted that currently flooding occurred in 21 RTs and two roads.

There is also data on affected areas as follows;

South Jakarta is located in 14 RTs consisting of, Bangka Village one RT with a water level of 40 centimeters (cm). Furthermore, West Kuningan Village has three RTs, a height of 45 to 70 cm.

Then, Pela Mampang Village, nine RTs with a height of 40 to 50 cm. Duren Village three one RT with a water level of 30 cm.

"The cause of the high rainfall in the Mampang River," he said.

For East Jakarta, there are seven RTs consisting of Susukan Village, four RTs with a height of 50 cm, Kampung Tengah Village with a height of 40 cm, and Gedong Village with two RTs with a height of 50 cm.

"In East Jakarta, the main cause is high rainfall," he said.

He added that the flood roads are Jl. KH Hasyim Ashari, Cideng Village, Central Jakarta with a height of 20 cm and Jl. Pelita No.5, Kel. Lubang Buaya, Central Jakarta with a height of 10 cm.
