JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto inaugurated the Sanur Health Special Economic Zone (SEZ) and Bali International Hospital (BIH) at the Sanur Health SEZ, Denpasar City, Bali.
"With the grace of God Almighty, this afternoon, Wednesday, June 25, 2025, I Prabowo Subianto, President of the Republic of Indonesia, inaugurated the Special Economic Zones of Sanur and Bali International Hospital," said President Prabowo, who was greeted with loud applause from invited guests at the inauguration location, Bali Beach, Denpasar, Wednesday, June 25.
After that, the President continued to attach his palm as a symbol of inauguration, and signed two inscriptions for the inauguration of the Sanur Health SEZ and Bali International Hospital.
In the inscription signing procession, President Prabowo was accompanied by Minister of SOEs Erick Thohir, Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin, Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/CEO Danantara Rosan Perkasa Roeslani, and Minister of Tourism Widiyanti Putri Wardhana.
In his speech at the inauguration ceremony, President Prabowo expressed his gratitude for the hard work and initiative of all parties who succeeded in realizing the Sanur Health SEZ. The President also thanked all parties for thanking the 7th President Joko Widodo who started the formation of the Sanur Health SEZ.
"I think this is a breakthrough, the first time in our Republic, we declare or create a special economic zone, which is intended for world-class health services, internationally standard," President Prabowo said as quoted by ANTARA.
The President then hopes that the Sanur Health SEZ can be an option for Indonesian citizens who previously preferred treatment abroad, considering that the Bali International Hospital in it is also present to offer international standard health services.
