Police Arrest Drug Couriers While Bringing More Than 6 Kg Of Methamphetamine In Central Jakarta

JAKARTA - A drug courier with the initials AS (42) was arrested from the development of a Happy Water type drug clinical laboratory raid in an apartment in the Cengkareng area, West Jakarta.

The US suspect was arrested by the West Jakarta Metro Police Narcotics Investigation Unit at a rented house in the Central Jakarta area. The suspect was arrested while carrying out drug delivery activities.

From the arrest, officers confiscated methamphetamine with a total weight of more than 6 kilograms.

"This arrest is the result of the development of the narcotics network that we previously found," said West Jakarta Metro Police Narcotics Head, Commissioner Vernal Armando when confirmed, Friday (20/6/2025).

The suspect was arrested along with evidence of 6 packages of methamphetamine weighing more than 6 kilograms.

For further development, the police brought the perpetrator along with evidence to the West Jakarta Metro Police for further investigation and development.

"What was confiscated was methamphetamine weighing more than 6 kilograms," he said.

Previously, it was reported that the West Jakarta Metro Police Narcotics Investigation Unit raided a dark laboratory or clandestine narcotics lab in an apartment in the Cengkareng area, West Jakarta.

The perpetrator mixed the new type of narcotics "Happy Water" with NutriSari packaged drink powder with flavor variants.

"Yes, that's right, we have succeeded in uncovering a clinicale lab in an apartment in the Cengkareng area, West Jakarta Metro Police Narcotics Investigation Unit, Commissioner Vernal Armando when confirmed, Monday (16/6/2025).

From the results of the raid, the police confiscated evidence which was suspected to be in the form of several materials and pre-cussors of the Happy Water type of narcotics, which were allegedly produced in that place.
