Presiden Prabowo Akan Temui PM Singapura Lawrence Wong Pekan Depan

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto will conduct a state trip to Singapore and meet Singaporean Prime Minister Lawrence Wong earlier next week.

"On June 16, 2025, Monday, the President of the Republic of Indonesia will hold a 'Leaders retreat' meeting with the Prime Minister of Singapore," said Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Rolliansyah Roy Soemirat as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, June 12.

In addition to the meeting with PM Wong which was held in the 'Leaders' treatment' format, Prabowo will also meet Singaporean President Tharman Shanmugaratnam to initiate state visits.

Roy explained that in the 'Leaders' treatment' session, Prabowo and Wong will discuss the priorities of strategic cooperation in the context of the new government and cabinet from the two countries.

Issues related to investment cooperation in both countries, as well as strengthening cooperation in various other fields, will also be discussed in the agenda.

He emphasized that the 'Leaders' treatment' meeting format indicates the relationship between the two countries is increasing and the relationship between the two leaders is getting closer.

"With the 'retreat' format, the two leaders will be much more open to exchanging views, thoughts, and inputs both related to bilateral relations between the two countries or related to regional and global issues," said Roy.

Foreign Minister Sugiono is also scheduled to accompany President Prabowo during his visit to Singapore.

After his visit to Singapore, President Prabowo will make a state visit to Russia on June 18'20, 2025, where he will meet President Vladimir Putin.

During the visit, which was carried out based on an invitation from President Putin, President Prabowo will also attend and deliver a key statement at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) in the City of St. Petersburg, said Roy.
