Bengkulu Prosecutor's Office Detains A Director Of Tax Evaders Of IDR 367 Million

JAKARTA - The Bengkulu High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) has detained the President Director (Ditut) of PT Catur Pilar, Ansori, a suspect in the tax evader case caused state losses of Rp. 367 million.

Head of the Special Criminal Prosecution Section (Pidsus) of the Bengkulu Attorney General's Office, Arif Wirawan, said the suspect did not deposit taxes for two years, precisely from 2019 to 2021.

"Yes, we today received an delegation from the Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) Bengkulu Lampung regarding the tax evader case, he has cost the state Rp. 367 million," he said in Bengkulu City, Wednesday, June 11, which was confiscated by Antara.

Arif added that he is currently being held at the Bengkulu Detention Center (Rutan).

He said that the detention of the suspect was carried out after his party received delegation from the Bengkulu Lampung Civil Servant Investigation (PPNS) related to the tax hoarding case which caused the state to suffer a loss of Rp. 367 million.

For this reason, the suspect will be detained at the Bengkulu Detention Center for the next 20 days.

Arif continued, the suspect is subject to Article 39 paragraph (1) letter c and/or Letter D of Law number 28 of 2007 the third amendment to Law number 6 of 1983 concerning general provisions and tax procedures as has been changed recently in Law number 6 of 2023 concerning the stipulation of PP in lieu of Law number 2 of 2022 concerning Job Creation into law.

On the other hand, the Head of the PPNS Team for the Bengkulu Bengkulu Lampungmenkelam Munajab explained that his party accompanied by the Bengkulu Police transferred the files and the alleged amplang to the Bengkulu Public Prosecutor (JPU).

"Today we have transferred files, evidence to the tax evader suspect, he has gone through a previous examination at the Bengkulu Lampung DGT, after which we will determine him as a suspect," he said.
