Bogor Asks Jakarta To Help Repair Transportation Facilities In Its Region

Mayor of Bogor Dedie A. Rachim revealed the request that the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government can help improve public transportation facilities in its area to make it more adequate.

Dedie hopes that the cooperation in optimizing transportation services between Jakarta and Bogor as an agglomeration area will not stop at the operation of Transjabodetabek.

This was revealed by Dedie to DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung after the inauguration of the Transjabodetabek service on the Bogor-Blok M route.

"In the future, of course, we also hope that the services will be improved, then the cooperation will not only be Transjabodetabek. We also really want to get assistance from DKI to be able to also improve transportation facilities in the Bogor city and district areas, of course," said Dedie at Blok M Terminal, South Jakarta, Thursday, June 5.

From the launch of the Bogor-Blok M Transjabodetabek, Dedie assessed that the public transport service could help unravel the congestion of traffic on the Jagorawi Toll Road, which often occurs in traffic jams.

This is because Transjabodetabek Bogor-Blok M can be an alternative for the community to switch from using private vehicles to public transportation to mobility from Bogor to Jakarta and vice versa.

"This is an answer after a long time, almost 10 years. Why? Because the Jagorawi route is too crowded, so this Transjabodetabek, God willing, will replace those who use private vehicles from Jakarta to Bogor and from Bogor to Jakarta," said Dedie.

"So, there is hope that Jagorawi in the morning will not be as congested as it is now," he continued.

Today, DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung inaugurated the Transjabodetabek service for the P11 Bogor-Blok M route as the 14th corridor that connects transportation modes between Jakarta and Bogor.

In his remarks, Pramono mentioned that the Blok M-Bogor route is known as the P11 code. The name P in P11 refers to Pakuwon, as explained by the President Director of Transjakarta.

"This is a route that residents of Bogor and of course residents of Jakarta have been waiting for. Because this is what directly connects Bogor to Blok M through 20 stops. 11 bus stops are in Bogor, 9 stops are in Jakarta," Pramono explained.

The average normal travel time of Transjabodetabek P11 is estimated to reach 90 minutes, while in conditions of heavy traffic it can reach up to 110 minutes. A total of 16 bus units were deployed to serve this route, with a waiting time between buses (headways) of about 15 minutes.

The P11 Bogor route to Blok M is the Cidangiang-Mall Bellanova Sentul-Sentul- Sentul Intersection-Citeureup 1-Cibubur Junction-Pacoran West-Tegal Mampang-West Rawa-Pasar Santa-AGO Attorney General-Blok M Line 5.

Meanwhile, the point for stopping Blok M to Bogor is Blok M on the 5-Pasar Santa-West Rawa-Pancoran East-Pancoran Tugu-Buperta Cibubur-Citeureup 2-Monumen Pancakarsa-Mall Bellanova Sentul-Terminal Baranangsiang Toll Gate.
