JAKARTA - Saudi Arabia's Hajj Organizing Officers (PPIH) will establish health posts during the implementation of the peak Hajj in Arafah, Muzdalifah, and Mina (Armuzna) to support the smooth running of the series of worship.

Head of the Hajj Center of the Ministry of Health, Liliek Marhaendro Susilo, said that this health post was an emergency and served the health of pilgrims during the peak of Hajj, namely wukuf in Arafah and Mabit in Mina.

"We will hold this health post in Arafah and Mina as in previous years. This health post is an emergency. We can only provide first aid for a maximum of 6 hours," said Liliek in Makkah, Monday, June 2, as reported by ANTARA.

Liliek said that if more than six hours the patient had not recovered, he would be referred to the Saudi Arabian Hospital for more intensive treatment.

"For example, patients affected by heat stroke, we will provide first aid for a maximum of six hours. When they recover, we return them to the tent. But for those who are seriously ill and need treatment for more than 6 hours, we will refer them to the hospital. In principle, at this health post there is no hospitalization," he said.

Liliek hopes that all Indonesian Hajj participants are in good health. Because wukuf is the peak of the long-awaited hajj.

For the smooth running of the Armuzna worship, Liliek appealed to the congregation to bring personal medicines and supplements, especially for those suffering from congenital diseases.

"Consumption and accommodation have been prepared by sharia. The congregation will bring personal medicines and food supplements provided by the doctor," he said.

Meanwhile, to maintain health ahead of Armuzna, pilgrims are advised to rest at the hotel. For pilgrims who have diseases, they are advised to regularly take drugs from doctors.

"Congregants should not leave the hotel, especially during the day because the temperature is very hot. Doctors' drugs must be taken regularly so that they are healthy to worship in Armuzna," he said.
