Kemkomdigi Blocks PeduliLindung Sites Infiltrated By Gambling Content

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs (Kemkomdigi) has officially cut off access (take down) on the PeduliLindungi.id website which has been proven to be infiltrated by irresponsible parties with online gambling content.

Director General of Digital Space Supervision of the Ministry of Communication and Trade Alexander Sabar stated that this step is the government's commitment to safeguarding Indonesia's secure digital space and an important part in eradicating online gambling content.

"This action was taken following a public report regarding the emergence of online gambling content on the website," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, May 21.

According to Alexander, the results of the verification of the report accompanied by a link (URL) and screenshot show that the PeduliLindungi.id site has experienced infiltration (defacement) and displays content that leads to online gambling sites.

The Ministry of Communication and Digigi has determined that the site has violated the principles of information security. Furthermore, cut off access to protect the public from potential misuse of data and exposure to illegal content.

"This clearly violates the provisions of information security in the national digital space," he said.

Previously, PeduliLindung was known to the public as a website used in handling the COVID-19 outbreak and was under the authority of the Ministry of Health during the pandemic.

Even so, since 2023 the PeduliLindung system has been integrated into digital health services and has been completely transferred to the OneSehat platform with the official domain address of one health.kemkes.go.id.

Not only that, but the public can also access services through the One Healthy Mobile application available on the App Store and Play Store.

With the integration of the system, the PeduliLindungi.id site which was originally managed by the government is no longer used and its operational control is no longer with the Ministry of Health.

In connection with the incident, the Ministry of Communication and Digigi appealed to the public to immediately report suspicious digital activities through the official complaint complaint channel.id.

"We continue to be committed to keeping the national digital space safe, healthy, and trusted for all levels of society," concluded Alex.

The PeduliLindung site was allegedly hacked by the owner of online gambling content. Responding to this, the Ministry of Health responded that the site was no longer managed by its party.

"So, SatuSehat sejak berubah dari PL (PeduliLindungi) per Maret 2023, otomatis pengelolaan, termasuk urusan keamanan, seluruhnya berikut website, juga tidak di Kemenkes lagi, dan dikelola oleh pihak lain," kata Kepala Biro Komunikasi dan Informasi Publik Kemenkes Aji Muhawarman.
