JAKARTA - A resident of Cakung, East Jakarta, Madrais (76), who is the heir to the 5,000 square meter land owned by his parents, has yet to obtain land certificates from the East Jakarta National Land Agency (BPN), although he has managed it since 2018.

The land is located on Rawa Crab Street, RT 09/10, Jatinegara Village, Cakung District, East Jakarta, which came from Madrais' parents, the late Djimun bin Nikun.

Madrais, who was accompanied by his attorney, Edy Wilson Iskandar Harahap, expressed his disappointment because during his seven years of waiting, the East Jakarta BPN had not yet issued a certificate of the land, even though all the required documents were complete, both physically and juridically.

"Since 2018 until now, my land certificate has not come out yet. There is no clear reason for BPN, it only seems to be carried away," Madrais said when met in Jakarta, Wednesday, May 21, 2025.

Madrais emphasized that he is a legal heir and has complete documents for the ownership of the land, including the original Girik on behalf of Djimun bin Nikun as well as proof of payment of Land and Building Tax (PBB).

I have Girik and the PBB is also still in the name of my parents. All documents are complete, but still not made by BPN. What is the real problem? he complained.

Madrais hopes that the East Jakarta BPN will immediately issue a certificate of land rights which is his right as heir. He even submitted a direct application to the President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto to help resolve the problem.

"I beg Mr. President Prabowo to help small people like me. Please help my certificate process so that it is finished quickly. I am a small person, don't make it difficult like this," he asked.

Meanwhile, Edy Wilson Iskandar Harahap, as Madrais' attorney, assessed that there was no legal reason that could be used as the basis for delaying the issuance of certificates by BPN.

From the start, we have said that all the documents, both physical and juridical, were complete. Legally, there are no obstacles. BPN should have been able to immediately issue the certificate since the application was first submitted in 2018," said Edy.

Edy revealed that the 5,000 square meters of land is still controlled by his client and is not in dispute with any party. The original Girik and all the holding data are still kept in full.

"We are ready if we have to compete with data. But until now there is no clarity from BPN. If this year the certificate does not issue, we will take this case to a higher level," he added.

His party plans to report this case to the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/BPN, and asks for direct attention from the Minister of ATR/BPN Nusron Wahid to immediately intervene and follow up on the process that has been delayed for too long.

"We will ask the Director General 7 to participate in encouraging this process, and ask the Minister of Nusron Wahid to immediately take action against the East Jakarta BPN so that our client's application can be processed properly," he said.

Until this news was revealed, the Head of the East Jakarta BPN Office, Rizal Rasyuddin, had not yet provided an official statement regarding the unpublished certificate on behalf of the heirs of Djimun bin Nikun.
