JAMBI - The solar oil warehouse is suspected to be illegal under the guise of a car in the new road area of RT 27, Payo Selincah Village, Pall Merah District, Jambi City, caught fire.
Jambi Police Chief Kombes Boy Sutan Binanga Siregar said the fire incident was caused by a tank car explosion loaded with diesel in the warehouse, that was temporary information received and the case is still being investigated, for non-existent fatalities.
The provisional suspicion of this incident was due to diesel refueling from inside the warehouse using a modified transportation car.
The police chief emphasized that the location of the fire was an oil warehouse as well as a car repair shop.
The police will conduct an investigation into licensing documents including tracing the person in charge of ownership of the warehouse.
"If this is proven to have no official or illegal permit, we will take firm action, where in the warehouse there are three to four tank cars and a number of drums that caught fire," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, May 16.
Meanwhile, Head of the Transtib Section of Selincah Apit Arifin Village while at the fire location, said that during this warehouse, the warehouse owner and the workshop had never reported it to the sub-district.
"The owner has never reported to the village, we cannot confirm this warehouse since when it was established, because it has never paid the PBB," he said.
