Deputy Chairman Of The Central Lombok DPRD Then Ahmad Rumiawan Dies In A Single Accident

CENTRAL LOMBOK Sad news came from the Central Lombok DPRD, West Nusa Tenggara. Deputy Chairman I of the Central Lombok DPRD, Lalu Ahmad Rumiawan, died in a single accident on the MataramKopang highway, Thursday morning, May 15, 2025.

"As a result of the accident, the victim died at the crime scene (TKP)," said Head of Public Relations of the Central Lombok Police, Iptu Lalu Brata Kusnadi, quoted from ANTARA.

The unfortunate incident occurred when Rumiawan was driving a car numbered DR 1880 TA from Mataram to his house in Central Lombok. While crossing the Peresak Village public road, Kopang District, the car he was driving hit a tree on the right side of the road.

"As a result, the victim's vehicle was badly damaged," said Brata.

The news of the death of the senior Golkar Party politician was also confirmed by Deputy Chairman III of the Central Lombok DPRD, Uhibbissa. He said Rumiawan died on his way home after participating in activities in Mataram.

"Yes, that's right, he died in an accident this morning," said Uhibbissa.

Then Ahmad Rumiawan is known as an experienced legislator who has served as a member of the Central Lombok DPRD for three terms. The body of the deceased was buried at the funeral home in Kopang Remige Village, Kopang District, Central Lombok Regency.
