4 Percent Of DKI Provincial Government Employees Don't Increase Public Transportation Every Wednesday, Pramono: We Are Serious Or Destroyed

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung requires all DKI Provincial Government employees to use public transportation to leave for work every Wednesday.

In its evaluation, 96 percent of employees including the DKI Provincial Government's State Civil Apparatus (ASN) complyed with the policy.

While joking, Pramono emphasized that 4 percent of employees who do not comply with the obligation to use public transportation will receive guidance.

"The 4 percent, of course we will specifically foster them. There are two fostered, seriously fostered or destroyed," said Pramono at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Wednesday, May 7.

To monitor compliance with the use of public transportation in one day each week, Pramono received a direct report from his subordinates.

"Almost all of them used it on average and they took photos and sent it to me. So there are a lot of photos of officials today on my cellphone," he said.

According to him, the compliance of his subordinates in the last two weeks is still quite high. Given, the ASN of the DKI Provincial Government has also received public transportation facilities for Transjakarta, Jakarta LRT, and Jakarta MRT for free.

"Why can it be high? Because the first is parking, we don't allow it here. The second is the means of transportation that we have transported ASN from the existing depots," said Pramono.

It is known, in Ingub Number 6 of 2025, Pramono instructed all DKI Jakarta Provincial Government employees to use mass public transportation to depart and work, as well as mobility for the implementation of tasks every Wednesday.

The general transportation includes Transjakarta, MRT Jakarta, LRT Jakarta, LRT Jabodebek, KRL Commuter Line, airport trains, regular buses/angkots, as well as ships and shuttle vehicles for employees/employees.

This instruction is excluded for employees who are sick, pregnant, people with disabilities, and field officers who need certain mobility.

In its implementation, all DKI Provincial Government employees are required to report activities using public transportation by taking selfies or selfies. The photo is reported by the staffing admin on each of their respective regional apparatus.
