JAKARTA - Former DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan shared his tips on becoming a leader to the Mayor of Kediri Vinanda Prameswati on the sidelines of his visit to Kediri City, East Java.

Anies said being a leader, including the mayor, has a big responsibility and mandate. However, big mandate does not mean it is heavy, but can be carried out well.

"A big mandate does not mean it is difficult, but is carried out well with good coordination, good collaboration, so it is light," said Anies at the Kediri Mayor's Office House, Saturday.

He appreciated the figure of the Mayor of Kediri, Vinanda Prameswati, who at a young age had carried out his mandate to become a regional head.

According to Anies, the younger generation has also proven to have the ability to lead, for example the Mayor of Kediri.

"So, an opportunity for a new generation, that with relatively young age it can bring about an update of change in society," he said.

He admitted that he was happy on the sidelines of his visit to Kediri City to establish a relationship with the Mayor of Vinanda.

On that occasion, Anies also gave a book to the Mayor of Kediri, which contained various leadership experiences.

The contents of the book can be used as a reference and reading material on the sidelines of free time. The principle in leading is the same, which is done seriously.

Meanwhile, the Mayor of Kediri, Vinanda Prameswati, also appreciated the arrival of Anies Baswedan to Kediri.

According to him, the experience of becoming a leader of the former Governor of DKi Jakarta who has also been an academic can be a lesson in itself.

"Of course it is an honor for us to be visited by one of the national figures and he has told us a lot of experiences, and this is a lesson for us," he said.

During his visit to Kediri, Anies was accompanied by a number of his colleagues. They met directly with the Mayor of Kediri at the official residence.

The activity took place behind closed doors until the group left the official residence and left the city hall.

Anies Baswedan came to Kediri to attend a halal bihalal event with sympathizers at a hotel in the Kediri Regency area.

On that occasion, Anies also called for improving the quality of education in Indonesia.

According to him, a homework for the government to create education can be evenly and quality so that every child has the same opportunity to achieve the future.

In addition to meeting sympathizers and mayors, Anies also has several other agendas in Kediri.
