JAKARTA - The Ministry of Religion introduced a new innovation for Hajj dormitories in organizing the 1446 Hijri/2025 AD pilgrimage called Munakosah or Management of the Accommodation Service Unit at the Hajj Dormitory.

"This is an innovation in the placement of accommodation services for pilgrims, including priority pilgrims or the elderly, while in the Hajj dormitory," said Director of Domestic Hajj Services Muhammad Zain quoting Antara.

Zain said the innovation developed with an electronic or digital-based system will also facilitate the management of the pilgrims' cabin bags for Hajj administrators (PPIH) and their placement in the dormitory rooms.

According to him, Munakosah is the development of one-stop service (OSS) in the Hajj embarkation dormitory or between the Hajj operational period.

"Munakosah aims to facilitate accommodation placement services for pilgrims for Hajj candidates, priority pilgrims, and elderly pilgrims in Hajj dormitories because Munakosah provides early information to pilgrims regarding the accommodation they will occupy while in the Hajj dormitory," said Zain.

The notification mechanism is done through two things. First, through the Dormitory Entrance Order (SPMA) which has included the name of the building and room number at the Hajj dormitory.

"SPMA has generally been distributed to the congregation two days before departure," said Zain.

Second, by accessing the boarding house haji.com page, then scanning the QR code listed on the red and white congregational identification sign, or by entering the portion number, information will appear about the name of the building and room number of the congregation.

The name of this building and room number, said Zain, can be printed by the congregation and included in their respective cabin bags from home, before leaving for the hajj dormitory. This will accelerate the management of the congregation's cabin bag while in the hajj dormitory.

"Munakosah will speed up the process of accepting pilgrims and provide longer time for them to rest at the inn building. Because, when they arrive at the Hajj dormitory, the congregation only needs to follow the admission process and can go straight into their respective rooms without worrying about their cabin bags," he said.

With Munakosah, pilgrims no longer need to wait in line for labeling the cabin bag because the information can be accessed independently before departure.

The congregation also does not need to bring their respective cabin bags to the rooms in the Hajj dormitory because the cabin bags will already be placed in each room according to the placement number.

"Munakosah will provide faster, orderly, safe, and comfortable services. Even families can find out earlier the placement of pilgrims when in hajj dormitories," he said.
