JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung targets two DKI regional-owned enterprises (BUMD) to be listed on the exchange or start conducting initial public offering (IPO) during his leadership with the Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Rano Karno.
This was conveyed by Pramono in a working meeting and a hearing meeting of Commission II of the DPR RI with the Minister of Home Affairs and a number of governors, regents, and mayors.
"We are of the view that within the time of our leadership there will be two or three BUMDs that we will IPO," said Pramono at the DPR RI Building, Wednesday, April 30.
One of the BUMDs that Pramono projects to sell his shares to the public is PT Bank DKI. Pramono targets Bank DKI to start IPO in the next year.
"Indeed, I ask that at most one year they must be able to go public. Why do they have to go public? So that the public provides them with supervision," explained Pramono.
Then, Pramono will also rebrand by changing the name of the Bank DKI company. The option is like becoming a Bank Jakarta or a Global Bank. According to him, changing the name of Bank DKI is needed to adjust the conditions of Jakarta, which will no longer have the status of the capital city.
"Because later when the DKI changes, the capital city is no longer in Jakarta, we will change it, so that there is a new branding for Bank DKI," he said.

Apart from Bank DKI, the BUMD targeted by the IPO is Perumda PAM Jaya. If the coverage of clean water services in Jakarta has reached 100 percent, according to Pramono, PAM Jaya deserves to be listed on the stock exchange.
"One of the things we want to be able to go public is actually PAM Jaya. PAM Jaya has a market of approximately 2.5 million, now it can meet 70 percent of clean water in Jakarta," said the former Cabinet Secretary.
"If repairs are made, it can be 100 percent and then the customers are above 3 million, in my opinion, if the IPO is made into something extraordinary and very big," he continued.
