Accident Prone, Grogol Flyover Road Severely Damaged, DKI DPRD Demands Quick Action

The work on damaged roads in S Parman, Grogol, Jakarta (Ist)

JAKARTA Member of Commission C of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Hardiyanto Kenneth, went directly to inspect the damaged road conditions at the Jalan S. Parman Flyover, Grogol Petamburan, West Jakarta, on Wednesday night, April 23, 2025.

The visit was made after Kenneth passed by and saw firsthand the damage to the road which was quite severe, right on the Grogol flyover, from Latumenten to Tomang. The road looks aimless and has holes, and there are gaping patch marks, considered to have the potential to endanger motorists, especially two-wheelers.

"What I came here for is public reports. Coincidentally, I passed and it turned out to be true, the road was badly damaged," said Kenneth, as quoted on Friday, April 25.

The PDI-P politician immediately contacted the DKI Jakarta Bina Marga Office to immediately make improvements. He emphasized the importance of routine maintenance of the protocol road, especially under the leadership of Governor Pramono Anung.

"I don't want the Pramono Governor's era, roads in Jakarta to be left damaged and dangerous. Moreover, this is the main road," he said.

Kenneth also conveyed his plans to carry out similar surveillance in other areas, not only in West Jakarta, but also East, South and North Jakarta.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Road and Bridge Maintenance Group of the Jakarta Highways Office, Benny, ensured that road repairs at Flyover S. Parman were included in his work agenda.

"We will dismantle this road and rearrange it so that it is neater and does not cause waves. Our target is that repairs will be completed in the sixth month of this year," said Benny.

The Bina Marga Office emphasized that they are committed to maintaining road quality for the safety of road users and the convenience of traffic in the Capital City.
