The Indonesian National Police (KEPRI) has arrested a State Civil Apparatus (ASN) within the Tanjungpinang City Government (Pemkot) in the Riau Islands (Kepri) with the initials DA allegedly involved in marijuana drug abuse.

Tanjungpinang Police Chief Kombes Pol Hamam Wahyudi said DA was secured by the police along with a colleague with the initials EA who is a private employee.

As a result of their actions, the two perpetrators were threatened with Article 114 Paragraph 1 or Article 111 Paragraph 1 Juncto Article 132 Paragraph 1 of Law Number 35 Year 2012 concerning Narcotics, with a minimum imprisonment of 5 years, and a maximum of 20 years.
