Former President Director Of PT Pertamina Nicke Widyawati Responds To KPK Calls In PGN Case

JAKARTA - Former President Director of PT Pertamina Nicke Widyawati answered the summons of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) today, Monday, March 17. He underwent examination as a witness in the corruption case of gas buying and selling cooperation between PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (PGN) and PT Inti Alasindo Energi (IAE).

"That's right, today, Monday, March 17, NW's brother has been present," said KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardhika in a written statement, Monday, March 17.

Nicke was worked on by investigators at the KPK's Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta. "The presence of the person concerned is in order to fulfill the investigator's summons as a witness," said Tessa.

Nicke should have been examined by investigators in his capacity as Director of Human Resources of PT Pertamina (Persero) on Monday, March 10. However, he asked for a reschedule.

Apart from Nicke, at that time there were two other witnesses who asked for a reschedule. They are Arif Budiman as Finance Director of PT Pertamina for the 2014-2017 period and Nusantara Suyono as Finance Director of PT PGN for the 2016-2018 period.

As previously reported, the KPK on May 13, 2024 announced that it had started an investigation into the alleged corruption case at PT PGN Tbk. in the 2018-2020 fiscal year. The investigation into the alleged corruption case was based on the results of an audit by the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) of the Republic of Indonesia.

The alleged corruption occurred in the process of buying and selling gas between PT PGN and a company with the initials PT IG in 2018-2020 and is said to have caused state finances of up to hundreds of billions of rupiah.

In this case, two people have been prevented from leaving the country to facilitate the investigation of the alleged corruption. Based on information, they are Danny Praditya who is the Commercial Director of PT PGN for the 2016-2019 period and serves as President Director of PT Inalum and Iswan Ibrahim who is the President Director of PT Isargas.
