The Indictment Contains Immoral Elements, Prodia Boss's Child Trial At The South Jakarta District Court Held Closed

JAKARTA - The South Jakarta District Court (PN Jaksel) held a trial for alleged immoral cases of defendant Arif Nugroho, the children of high-ranking Prodia and Muhammad Bayu Hartanto in private.

"The trial was declared closed to the public," said judge Arif Budi Cahyono in the trial of the Prodia boss's son in court room 05 of the South Jakarta District Court, Jakarta, Wednesday.

Arif said that because this case contained the content of decency in his indictment, based on the provisions of Article 153 paragraph (3) of the Criminal Procedure Code the trial was held behind closed doors.

Article 153 paragraph (3) of the Criminal Procedure Code stipulates that examinations in court must be open to the public, except in cases regarding decency or child defendants.

Ditegaskan, sidang perkara pidana dengan nomor 130/Pid.Sus/2025/PN JKT.SEL dinyatakan terbuka dan tertutup untuk umum.

"The trial will be held closed except later at the time of reading the verdict," he said.

The defendant Arif Nugroho, who is a high-ranking son of Prodia and Muhammad Bayu Hartanto, attended a trial for alleged immoral cases at the South Jakarta District Court (PN Jaksel) at 14.27 WIB.

Sidang dengan nomor perkara 130/Pid.Sus/2025/PN JKT.SEL itu, Jaksa Penuntut Umum (JPU) yakni Mochammad Zulfi Yasin Ramadan.

Meanwhile, the judge who will lead the trial of the case, Arief Budi Cahyono.

Arif Nugroho and Muhammad Bayu Hartanto were named suspects in the murder and rape case of a girl with the initials FA (16) which occurred on April 22, 2024. The other survivors had the initials A.

At that time the victim did online (BO) prostitution with the two suspects. Then, the victim died after being fed inex and crystal methamphetamine.

This case was handled by the South Jakarta Metro Police Satreskrim with the number LP/B/1181/IV/2024/SPKT/Polres Metro South Jakarta/Polda Metro Jaya on April 23, 2024.

In addition, this murder case re-emerged after the former Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the South Jakarta Metro Police, AKBP Bintoro, was dragged into extortion.
