Case Of Misappropriation Of Subsidized Solar In Kolaka, State Loss Estimated At IDR 105 Billion

The Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police has uncovered a case of alleged misappropriation of subsidized diesel fuel (BBM) that occurred in the Kolaka area, Southeast Sulawesi.

Based on the deepening, the value of state losses due to the action reached Rp. 105.4 billion.

"More or less (the value of state losses) is Rp. 105,420,000,000," said the Director of Certain Crimes at the National Police Criminal Investigation Agency Brigadier General Nunung Syaifuddin to reporters, Monday, March 3.

This value is based on the calculation of the difference in the price of subsidized diesel, which is Rp. 6,800 per liter with a value sold by the alleged perpetrators of around Rp. 19,300 per liter.

Then, the distribution volume is around 350,000 liters per month. The syndicate is known to have been in action for two years.

Meanwhile, the four alleged perpetrators are an individual PT Pertamina Patra Niaga; BK who allegedly manages a hoarding warehouse without a permit; A as the owner of a gas station-Nelayan in Poleang Tenggara District, Bombana Regency; and T in charge of providing a fleet of transport trucks.

"With the assumption that according to the book data we get in the warehouse that in a month they can get 350,000 liters, we will multiply it by Rp 12,550 with 350,000 liters, the profit is Rp 4,392,500,000. So Rp 4,392,500,000," said Nunung.

Currently, the four people have not been named as suspects. However, further investigations continue to be carried out by investigators.

"We will carry out an investigation process on other parties who may be involved in the misuse of subsidized fuel," said Nunung.

In this case, the alleged perpetrators are suspected of violating Article 40 of Law Number 6 of 2023 concerning Stipulation of Government Regulations in Lieu of Law Number 2 of 2022 concerning Job Creation.

Thus, they are threatened with imprisonment of up to six years and a maximum fine of Rp. 60 billion.
