KPK Prisoners Get Sahur And Takjil Meals During The Fasting Month

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) ensures that prisoners who are Muslim can perform fasting. They get a sahur allotment up to takjil for a full month.

"During this month of Ramadan, the KPK provides a menu for sahur, takjil breaking the fast, and dinner for para," said KPK Spokesperson Team Budi Prasetyo to reporters in a written statement, Monday, March 3.

Budi said this sahur and takjil meal is a conversion from the provision of breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The menu is adjusted to the input fee standard (SBM) regulated by the Ministry of Finance.

In addition, the tananans are also certain to be able to perform tarawih prayers. The prisoners who performed fasting at the C1 and Merah Putih branch detention centers reached 31 out of a total of 40 people.

"For tarawih prayer, at the Rutan of the Red and White KPK Building, we take advantage of the face-to-face room area, and in the C1 building we take advantage of the prayer room," said Budi.

"KPK ensures the fulfillment of the basic rights of detainees, including in worship but still in accordance with the provisions in the management of detention centers," he concluded.
